What we do We support fantastic volunteers up and down the Anglian region of England to adopt and look after a stretch of river or beach near to them. The looking after bit begins with holding regular litter picks throughout the year. Litter is a real threat to our wildlife in and around our rivers and contributes to the spiralling pollution of our oceans. Once established, our volunteer groups get involved in a variety of tasks such as habitat restoration, removing non-native species, wildlife surveys, campaigning to reduce pollution and raising awareness by attending local events and talking to the media. We provide our groups with all the kit they need, advice, safety expertise, insurance, media support and on the ground support. This enables them to get on with the important bit – looking after their local area and making everyone feel welcome to join in!
